Cast Update 12-13-2021

Something that I will have to keep up with all of the cast updates that I do will be on what projects might change that still have 2021 listed as the time frame of release. If it keeps staying that way, I’ll have to figure out how to rearrange them. I know a lot of this blog can be outdated as I forget to or otherwise don’t update paragraphs. I’m thinking that at some point, I should remove stuff that I know shouldn’t be the updates anymore as they are not moving forward and I know this, but it still is here. And since most of the projects that I have mentioned back from when they were still in the CSI: Cyber blog still have no news with them, there isn’t much that I can say about them until more happens.

Jonny Lee Miller: It seems that he currently has only one project that I know of in the work. It is a movie called Nine Lives. I’ll keep track of anything else that I see him doing in the future. He also appears to be in a movie called Settlers. Another movie that he will appear in is Alice. He will also be in the newest season of The Crown.

Nine Lives: This doesn’t have a release date or a trailer just yet. Despite its name, it has nothing to do with cats. It’s a science fiction movie about a team of humans having to work with clones (I think) all in outer space somewhere for some reason.

Settlers: This has a DVD release date of February 15, 2022. I’m not entirely sure that this isn’t the same movie as the previous one and imdb is confused. I will keep this as separate for now as I’m not sure what’s happening with this just yet at this point in time. That seems to happen at lot when I’m doing cast updates. Maybe this will change, but who knows? There is a trailer for this now:

Trailer link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_rVrDKLEf64

Thoughts on trailer: I’m still not entirely sure what to make of the plot after seeing the trailer for it now. But it seems like there is the typical family must stay isolated away from other threats in possible science fiction like ways or something like that movie. It could be good or instead make little to no sense and not really work as a result. I’m hoping that it will be good in the end. Or it could be somewhere in between. Who knows for sure without seeing it? It is not out yet in a way that I can see it so I will keep it in these updates until it is out in a way I can see it.

Alice: This has a release date of January 23, 2022. This could be a horror film or might be based on reality. A slave escapes only to find a shocking discovery nearby. I’d have to see a trailer to know for sure what genre this might be. Only there’s none yet and it could reveal more to this film that I’d want to know. Guess that I’ll have to wait for now.

The Crown: This is a Netflix series. I doubt that I’ll be able to watch it ever or any time soon. It is available now. Jonny will be in the fifth season or series if you will. He will play the role of John Major. There’s not much else to say about it.

Lucy Liu: She will also be in other projects. One is called The Last Weekend in May. I have no idea when that last project would be set for. Another thing that she will be in is called (at least for now) Untitled Workplace Comedy that I hope gets a name soon in the future. She is also set to be in Shazam! Fury of the gods. Yet another thing she is doing in the future is The Invisibles.

The Last Weekend in May: There is no release date for this yet. There also isn’t a trailer or even a plot. If I had to guess, a significant point of this movie relates to the end of the month of May. That might even be a good time to release this movie if they wanted to. If June 1st is a Sunday, then which weekend would the last one in May be? I don’t see this on imdb anymore.

Untitled Workplace Comedy: This is set to air on ABC. The release date is currently unknown as of this time. I don’t quite understand the plot as currently written on imdb as it seems poorly phrased in some places. Best I can understand, a diva boss changes who she is after an adoption with her assistant becoming a mentor. I just hope that this doesn’t burn off during the summer. We’ll see what becomes of it later as things move along.

Shazam! Fury of the gods: This is set for release on June 2, 2023. It is a sequel to the film Shazam and part of the DCEU. There is not a plot for this just yet. We’ll find out more about this in the future. I just hope that I’m able to see the first one if I like this.

The Invisibles: There is no release date for this yet. There also is no trailer either. But there is a plot for it. A man in a failing marriage starts to disappear and finds a new world of people who have disappeared like him as well. If I had to guess, he would overcome this problem, but maybe this won’t be the case after all? It might be nice to see for just that reason and if the movie’s ending is good.

Aidan Quinn: I thought that given his limited role in the final season of Elementary that we might be seeing less of him. Well, it turns out that I was wrong. He will be doing different things. For one, he will be part of the movie Butterfly in the Typewriter that Desmond Harrington will also be in. He’ll also be in The Gettysburg Address, which I find unlikely since that already happened in the 1860s. He’ll also be in Spiked. Another thing he will be in is Blacklight. We’ll see what else he might appear in.

Butterfly in the Typewriter: From what I understand of the plot, an author struggles to bring a story to life in this movie. I don’t know yet if it is based on a true story. It could be very Meta if you know what that means. It has no release date yet.

The Gettysburg Address: Apparently they are going to milk the whole address into a movie. This seems like a weird choice since Lincoln himself in the address said that people will little remember what they say today. There is no release date yet for this.

Spiked: This has an unknown DVD release timeframe as of now. The plot is about issues relating to a small town murder and the feud between a police chief and journalist in that town. It could be interesting, but cliché. This will be on the USA Network. It could be good if I see it. It is based on a true story. Here’s a trailer for it:

Trailer link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=isJPFwQ1aYU

Thoughts on trailer: It is hard to gather as much from the trailer as I would like, but it does seem to be an interesting looking movie. I look forward to potentially seeing this and can only hope that this is interesting despite the trailer not being that detailed.

Blacklight: This is set for release on February 11, 2022. This movie is about a conspiracy relating to a shady government operative that could cause issues in some ways. This does not have a trailer yet, but when it does, I’ll talk about it.

Jon Michael Hill: While he might do something after the show in good time, there is nothing that I see him doing right now as of yet. I will keep this section phrased like this until he does something that is worth putting down in here.

John Noble: He has a lot of projects in the work, so I might as well get to mentioning all of them. One is called Silencio. Another is called Nameless. A different one is called Stream. Yet another is called Guardians of Luna. I wonder if they’ll all get made. He’s also in something new called Call Waiting. I wonder what all he’ll show up in randomly. He is doing Twilight of the Gods. And he is in Star Trek: Prodigy. He does a lot.

Silencio: This was in Mexican and not American theaters. It has a plot mentioned of someone looking for a powerful stone. It has a DVD release time frame of November 2022. I hope to review it when it is out on DVD. It might only be on blu ray and not DVD.

Nameless: This could be interesting. It has no release date or trailer just yet. The plot relates to lost souls facing struggles with their past. It seems like it could be a good film, but it is hard to tell or know yet for sure. It seems like it could be good.

Stream: In this movie, telepathy is made possible, but it could have unforeseen outcomes. This seems like a possible basic premise for Downsizing with a different element of sci-fi used instead. There is not yet a trailer and there’s no release date yet. It only lists his role as rumored, so the movie could wind up happening, but not have him in it.

Guardians of Luna: This plot might be hard to keep track of. So there are werewolves that are part of a cursed town and there’s a war on humans potentially. It has no release date yet nor a trailer. But it does sound pretty interesting.

Call Waiting: This is has no plot listed yet. It’s year of release is unknown at the time. I guess that we will find out later what will happen with this and what the plot of this short might be. Until then, I guess we’ll just wait and see what will happen with it.

Twilight of the gods: There is no known plot for this at this point in time. It is set to be a TV series of some sort. The current release date is unknown. There is no trailer yet, either. So what else is worth keeping track of here for now? Not much.

Star Trek: Prodigy: This is currently on Paramount+. There is a trailer for this that I will talk about some. It is animated and seeks to use teens in a stolen vessel to explore the galaxy. It was renewed for a second season already.

Trailer link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EBE7d8sH5Rg

Thoughts on trailer: A lot of trailers are like this. They look great and make the show look great, but are also cliché and generic. Plus, I don’t know if there is some rule that says that all Star Trek TV shows are only allowed on streaming. I’m sad that we will never see this discussed in an episode of The Big Bang Theory. Anyways, this show looks like it could be interesting, but I doubt that I’ll ever be able to see it.

Desmond Harrington: He is set to appear in a movie called Butterfly in the Typewriter, which I’ll explain in the next paragraph. There’s not much else that he is known to be doing right now. Maybe he’ll do more in the future. I’ll wait to see what it could be.

Butterfly in the Typewriter: I can’t tell yet if this is based off of a true story or not. I do know that it is about the struggles of an author to bring a comedy story to life. It has an unknown release date at this time. I guess we’ll see what comes of it later.

James Frain: While he has done a lot and could potentially have more of a role in previous things that he has done, what is worth noting now is that he will be in a movie called The Jester from Transylvania. I still don’t quite understand what Transylvania is. He is also set to be in Escape Room: Tournament of Champions. That could be something that I want to see in the future. Another thing that he’ll be doing is Showtrial. We’ll see what else he does.

The Jester from Transylvania: This has a release year of 2020. It says Italy so might not be in this country. It also doesn’t have a plot mentioned, but it is likely about a jester from Transylvania. Who this jester is and what he or she does that’s important does not seem to be known about the movie yet at this point in time. Maybe I will at some point. This does not appear to be out yet, but for some reason is still mentioned as coming out last year. I will keep this in the updates for now until I know more for sure what is happening with it.

Escape Room: Tournament of Champions: This is a sequel to a previous movie. I have not yet seen the first movie, but will probably wait to see it until after I have seen this one. It may sound odd, but that’s the current plan. I won’t say any more about this just yet as there can be more revealed in due time. I might like this. We’ll see. It is on DVD now. There is a trailer for this:

Trailer link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KlfUbZJVInA

Thoughts on trailer: This could be interesting, although it does look cliché in some places. I hope that I’m able to see this before too long. I won’t know how much free time I’ll have in the future for movies and if I’ll be able to see movies in theaters even if they are in that format in the future. I hope to see it soon as it could be a fun movie. I have not been able to see this yet. I’ll keep this in the updates until I’m able to see it in the future.

Catch up on the original Escape Room by watching this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=700REaVlgBA

Showtrial: This has a release year of 2021. The plot relates to a possible media circus like trial captivating a bunch of people. There is no trailer for this yet. I think that this is a TV show like a mini-series. It is out now and looks like it is done and over with already so I will be removing it from the updates as of this post.

Robert Doherty: He is working on something, but I can’t quite understand the name of it right now. It is called Alive II. Maybe I’ll understand more of it once more info on it comes out in the future. He does not seem to have any other projects in the works right now.

Alive II: This is a TV movie. Its airdate is currently unknown. Someone is resurrected mysteriously and this man or woman is a cop. I guess that we’ll see what happens with this project later. Also note that Alive II might be the title and make more sense regarding the bringing someone back from the dead angle. Doesn’t this sound a lot like FOX’s Second Chance from not too long ago?

Emily Procter: She hasn’t done much since CSI: Miami ended. She is a mom so I don’t know if that means she’d be acting less. Maybe she’ll do something at some point. But I don’t see anything that she’s doing just yet. Maybe I’ll see more later.

Khandi Alexander: While she still acts some, as recently as 2019, I couldn’t find anything of hers that was major that she’s doing right now. The most recent thing that she did was a two parter on SEAL Team. I hope to see more of her in the future.

Kim Delaney: This only thing that she is doing right now is General Hospital. It is a soap that airs on ABC. I don’t know if I’ll be able to see it and review it. But I will include it in the updates for now. You might just see a review of this randomly at some point in the future.

General Hospital: This is a popular ABC soap that is very long running in a daytime show. I think that it relates to hospitals and is a drama like that in some way, shape, or form. Maybe if I see an episode, I’d know more what this is about and what makes it different than other shows like it.

Cast Update 11-15-2021

Unless something happens with CSI: Vegas in terms of more episodes being ordered for the future, this blog might be changed some as a result. This will be linked more into the CSI franchise as I still might include former cast members of CSI: Vegas in this blog (should it last beyond one season) and I might include people from the original CSI as well in the future. This blog will remain on Mondays for as long as possible outside of some potential random posts of this blog. Now let’s get to this post.

Here’s a paragraph worth posting in multiple blogs. This is affectively an apology. I have gone a long time in various blogs without doing movie reviews that I would like to get done. I either have not had the time or have not made the time to get them done. Well, it’s going to get even worse. I’m going to be busy throughout most of November and probably won’t have time during weekdays or weekends to see movies then outside of maybe one. During December, I will be focused on watching Christmas specials and movies for a while. I should have time in January, but with posts of these blogs being done early in the year, it could be February until you see some of the movie reviews that should be here. I’m sorry for the long and constant delays. But I thought that I would give you a heads up about this.

Check out my new blog: https://adamdeckercsivegas.blogspot.com/

Jonny Lee Miller: It seems that he currently has only one project that I know of in the work. It is a movie called Nine Lives. I’ll keep track of anything else that I see him doing in the future. He also appears to be in a movie called Settlers. Another movie that he will appear in is Alice. Something else he will appear in is Great British Theatre. He will also be in the newest season of The Crown.

Nine Lives: This doesn’t have a release date or a trailer just yet. Despite its name, it has nothing to do with cats. It’s a science fiction movie about a team of humans having to work with clones (I think) all in outer space somewhere for some reason.

Settlers: This is out now.

Alice: This has an unknown release date right now. This could be a horror film or might be based on reality. A slave escapes only to find a shocking discovery nearby. I’d have to see a trailer to know for sure what genre this might be. Only there’s none yet and it could reveal more to this film that I’d want to know. Guess that I’ll have to wait for now.

Great British Theatre: This is a TV miniseries. It is out now. It is basically a series of theatre performances that are filmed live and shown on TV. It could just be like PBS’s Great Performances that airs from time to time. I don’t know if I’ll ever be able to see it. I will be removing this from the updates.

The Crown: This is a Netflix series. I doubt that I’ll be able to watch it ever or any time soon. It is available now. Jonny will be in the fifth season or series if you will. He will play the role of John Major. There’s not much else to say about it.

Lucy Liu: I saw based on promos that she is in a show known as Why Women Kill. It turns out that she will also be in other projects.

Why Women Kill: This is a CBS all access series that is available already. I can pretty much guess based on the title what this might be about. I probably won’t be able to watch it unless I can see it for free at some point in the future. This is not relevant to this blog anymore so I will be removing it from the updates as a result.

He will also be in a miniseries called The American Guest.

The American Guest: This is a miniseries that will air sometime in 2019. It might be international, which means that I might not be able to see it as a result. The plot is unknown as this time, but a potential spoiler about it relates to the role Aidan plays in it: that of Teddy Roosevelt. I have no idea if this is out now somehow or not. This could be out for reals now. I have decided to remove this from the updates since this has a score on imdb.

Showtrial: This has a release year of 2021. The plot relates to a possible media circus like trial captivating a bunch of people. There is no trailer for this yet. I think that this is a TV show like a mini-series.

Cast Update 10-4-2021

I’m going to make an announcement here before I get to it anywhere else. At this point in time, I am likely to add any former cast members outside of William Petersen that wind up leaving the show of CSI: Vegas for any reason should the show last a while to this blog and not my blog on CSI: Cyber instead which would make more sense in some ways, but would mess up the rotation of former cast members that I have in the other blog. But I do think that since I only have the one new person added a year in this blog then I might as well make up for that by putting them here instead.

Why Women Kill: This is a CBS all access series that is available already. I can pretty much guess based on the title what this might be about. I probably won’t be able to watch it unless I can see it for free at some point in the future.

He will also be in a miniseries called The American Guest. He’ll also be in The Gettysburg Address, which I find unlikely since that already happened in the 1860s. He’ll also be in Spiked.

Butterfly in the Typewriter: From what I understand of the plot, an author struggles to bring a story to life in this movie. I don’t know yet if it is based on a true story. It could be very Meta if you know what that means. It has no release date yet.

I’m unsure so will add more in the next update if things are more clear then.

Two more things that he is doing are The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It and Twilight of the Gods. And he will be in Star Trek: Prodigy.

Silencio: This was in Mexican and not American theaters. It has a plot mentioned of someone looking for a powerful stone. It has a DVD release time frame of November 2021.

The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It: This is on DVD now. This is supposedly based off of a true story like all horror stories are for some unbelievable reason. This is the third movie in the franchise thus far. Since I have seen this now, I will be removing this from the updates in question.

Review: Movie Name- The Conjuring 3: The Devil Made Me Do It. Genre- Horror, drama, & thriller. Rating- R. Noteworthiness- This is based on an actual murder trial to some degree. Description- A man uses demonic possession as a defense in court while the family has to deal with the trial and the affect that curses have had on their family while the Warrens seek to end the curses and solve the crime. Elementary Alumni in it- John Nobel plays Kastner, an older version of a character who first appeared in Annabelle. Pros- The story is simple enough and easy to follow. The plot works and there’s enough in it outside of the main plot of the story. Cons- Not all of this makes sense. It loses focus on the main plot leaving some of its resolution as an afterthought. Parts of it are obvious in ways. Note to Parents- There are a lot of frightening moments and jump scares. A murder is largely depicted on screen. There is blood and other death throughout it. Recommendation- I think that it is good and works even if you haven’t seen other films in the franchise first. IMDB Ranking: 6.3. My Grade: B.

Twilight of the Gods: There is no known plot for this at this point in time. It is set to be a TV series of some sort. The current release date is unknown. There is no trailer yet, either. So what else is worth keeping track of here for now? Not much.

Star Trek: Prodigy: This is set for release on Paramount+ sometime in 2021. There is a trailer for this that I will talk about some. It is animated and seeks to use teens in a stolen vessel to explore the galaxy.

We’ll see. Its DVD release date is October 5, 2021. There is a trailer for this now:

Showtrial: This has a release date of October 2021. The plot relates to a possible media circus like trial captivating a bunch of people. There is no trailer for this yet. I think that this is a TV show like a mini-series.
