May 28th 2018’s Episode

There’s a change in the reading rotation of books that I do. I took out Lights, Camera, Fiction again as I need to wait until I have the chance to see a movie before I can read from the book again. I also have no idea just how little time I have to watch movies in the future. I’m at one list of six choices, but I really want to expand on the choices for a while. I should have more time to watch things during the summer, but then again, I might not. I have a new job since this blog went on hiatus.

The first act has Watson and Marcus questioning a man about a random possible murder. It seems that he didn’t do it. But who is this random person and why does it seem like we are joining a case that is already in progress? Watson finds Sherlock at home and he can’t remember the last six hours. He has a head in a duffle bag (I’m glad there aren’t seven more) with no idea who it is or how he got it.

The second act has Sherlock telling more about the situation. He tells Tommy about what had happened and Tommy thinks that he might be too lenient on Sherlock. Watson and Marcus do more investigating of the case and think that a person who had a recent house fire might be related to it. I’m a bit losing track as to if the case from earlier is still important or not.

The third act has Watson and Marcus unintentionally retracing the steps that Sherlock did during his memory loss episode. Michael shows up to where Sherlock lives and they talk for a bit. A man admits to tampering with evidence, but is innocent of murder. As for the dead head, he was a missing person that people thought was just at the class that he normally taught. I still don’t know how this fire fits into the whole story. I think that I’m missing some of this due to audio issues.

The fourth act reminds me that all of this relates to bird flu. There were Asian women that died of it and people who donated tissue might relate to it all somehow. As for Michael, he talks in the addicts place about Sherlock, I think. Who is Michael and is he evil like we are lead to believe? The background music sure thinks that he’s evil. A person somehow got immune to bird flu and could have been the reason why all of the murders took place.

The fifth act has the all case coming together somehow. Some woman doctor was the killer. I don’t fully understand everything that’s happening here. Tommy is wary of Sherlock, but lets him continue working if doctors give him continued medical clearance.

On the next Elementary, there is a dead person with a thumb drive in their fake pinky. Would that make it a pinky drive then? Perhaps flash drive is the best terminology here. It seems that the law will be broken by Sherlock and Watson in order to solve the case. I guess that I’ll find out for sure what happens later and hopefully have a better recap by then. For now, this is Adam Decker, signing off.

May 21st 2018’s Episode

When I heard that this show would be delayed until midseason for the first time ever, I didn’t have a lot of hope that it would last beyond this current season. Well, this show actually got renewed for another one. That seems very surprising to me. I don’t know what will happen with its airdates in the future, but I guess that if the show is gone for a while, you can always see updates about it in my CSI: Cyber blog. But this season just begun and there are a whole lot of other episodes left to air, watch, and blog about. I’ll worry about next season later.

I made a blog naming error in a previous post. I don’t know why I had the date of Sunday mentioned when this show airs on Mondays. I guess that I was too confused by things. I won’t fix things and I don’t think that I will ever edit or delete any posts even if they have errors in them. I just feel that it would be like what George Lucas did to Star Wars with re-releases. I don’t want my blog to change even if it has errors and stuff in it.

The Crossing isn’t on tonight. This means that I’ll be able to watch this show live and blog about it. I know that I can miss things that way, but it can be hard to remember a whole act in the future of this post. Know, too, that I may do something unusual and unrelated to this blog in spoiler tags that have nothing to do with what might happen with this show. You’ll know what I mean in June.

The first act has Sherlock in some sort of chamber like thingy that is water based. Sensory deprivation machine? What is that? A case of some sort comes up. Was someone a raged killer? I guess that we will find out for sure as this episode develops. Watson knows the victim as her former therapist.

The second act has Watson talking more about the case at hand. We see them with interviewee #1. He talks about what could have happened. Marcus is there too. He can’t share some information that they want. Interviewee #2 is the husband of the victim. He is distraught over her death. He also thinks that he might be a suspect. He thinks that a patient might have gone crazy and caused this.

Sherlock thinks that he is not a judgmental idiot like most sane people are. Sure, yeah, right. Sherlock might have used illegal methods to find out about who the patients are. This leads them to interviewee #3. Sherlock and Watson tell him that she’s dead. Watson thinks that it is possible that he blacked out. Sherlock knows that Watson wants to look at the victim’s file.

The third act has interviewee #3 in the hospital. He had jumped off of the railing. But he survived and talks to Sherlock about what all has happened. Sherlock thinks that it is odd that his boss wants him to work after his suicide attempt. This boss becomes interviewee #4. He talks about some questionable things that he has done. Lynn shows up at Watson’s place. Isn’t Lynn Watson’s half sister? It is hard to keep track of things that aren’t talked about for a while. Sherlock had stolen a back-up hard drive. Is that two words? I thought that it would just be one. And is it Lynn or Lin? I think that Lin is actually right. The thing that Watson finds odd is that this therapist thinks that Watson would make a good mother.

Sherlock and Watson then talk to interviewee #1 again. They think that he might be the killer. But should they tell him that? When Rod Blagojevich was under investigation, it was a good thing that we did NOT know this until they finally had enough to finally charge him. Sherlock finds a listening device in the office that he thinks might still be working.

The fourth act Sherlock is a bit strange as usual. A person has an alibi. But Sherlock knows that someone seemed to have a recording of the murder itself. Sherlock and Watson keep trying to figure out the case together. I don’t know for sure who this person is that they are talking too who planted the bug. I think it is interviewee #4 who owned the building. But he knows that detectives might have talked about stealing evidence. Still, they need to find some sort of solution to this problem.

I still don’t know why this mother thing is so important to Watson. But she talks more to Lin about it. Mr. Clay, whoever that is, is in Sherlock’s house. Mr. Clay seems like the creepy black guy stereotype. He stole from Sherlock and bugged the office. Only, he’s not the killer. He wiped the recording and thinks that there was nothing important. Sherlock recorded the conversation and tells the cliché about it for some odd reason.

The fifth act has interviewee #1 and interviewee #3 together. Sherlock and Marcus want to think that interviewee #3 is the guilty one, but that’s just what they want interviewee #1 to think. I miss some of what goes on now because my mother walked into the room for a bit. Sherlock thinks that interviewee #1 will entrap himself. Marcus tells Watson about what happened. Watson wants to adopt someone. Remember that while babies are great, older kids need homes too.

On the next Elementary, there is a head in a bag. At least there aren’t 8 heads in a duffle bag. It also seems like Sherlock’s memory problems could cause problems for working on cases still. Maybe they will do a time jump soon. Also, why was Michael in the recap, but not the episode? I noticed that problem with The Last Man on Earth, but I guess that I don’t have to worry about that anymore. I’ll see you next week and if I ever think that I’ll miss a post or, at the very least, it won’t be published on time, I will let you know in advance or in this closing (or when it appears late or in the next episode). For now, this is Adam Decker, signing off.

May 14th 2018’s Episode

I might as well do a running tally of what of the Monday shows I still watch are still on and what of the new ones I get into, if any at all. Kevin Can Wait had its series finale. Supergirl will be airing into a lot of the summer. I don’t know how long The Crossing will be airing or if it will be in danger of being pulled from the schedule before it finishes airing. The Resident is ending its season today. It will be more towards the end of the month when iZombie ends.

There were storms in the area where I lived and I put this episode on tape as a result. That shouldn’t be a bad thing as watching it on tape might be the best option. In case any of you are confused, you can use this device known as a VCR where a recordable tape can be put into it in case you want to watch this thing later, such as the day after it airs.

The first act has what looks like a battle reenactment of some sort. It appears that someone is dead for real. Hopefully, the tape I had recorded this on doesn’t have storm coverage airing over any of this show because I might miss something important that way.

The second act has Sherlock and Tommy looking at the body. They then interrogate the people who were there at the event in question. Watson and Marcus are also there, talking to another person. We then see Sherlock talking to a doctor of some sort. Sherlock is unsure of if he should take the pills that his doctor wants him to.

We then see him in a welding mask while looking at things on the computer. There were at least two different people, I think, who had threatened the dead person. Sherlock then goes to see Michael, the mystery guy from before. Sherlock doesn’t want to take more pills. Marcus thinks that a woman killed her father. They think that she hired someone to kill her father. But she is at a commune where there is no technology. Doesn’t mean that she couldn’t have told someone who could have left and do it. The dead person’s house has been burnt down.

The third act has Tommy giving the information to Watson and Marcus. Watson thinks that the house was looted before it was burned down. Sherlock then sees Detective Mason who is a bit upset that Sherlock seemingly dumped him. But they are still able to work together. I don’t fully understand all of what is going on. They find the person who admits to stealing from the place. But he says that he didn’t start the fire or kill the person. In fact, the only thing he stole was a fireproof safe. Sherlock makes a thing that smells badly. Sherlock thinks that the fire wasn’t meant to destroy the whole building. This, as usual, gives him his idea of who killed the dead person and why.

The fourth act reveals that the autographs in a safe were the targets. He has the most valuable signature in the world somehow because of how little he signed things. They interrogate a person who they think is responsible. He looks like Jeff Goldblum. He then tries his best to convince them that he never would have tried to destroy such valuable documents.

Sherlock doesn’t like his medicine that his doctor put him on as it makes him drowsy. His doctor thinks that Sherlock needs a vacation. Watson learns that there was a land scandal that is the reason why people might have done the bad things in this episode that they did. They interview a person from earlier who they can’t quite prove is guilty yet.

The fifth act has Sherlock and Watson thinking more about what could have gone on with the case. Sherlock tells Watson that his doctor wants him to take time off. But the answer lies in cat litter. This proves that he started the fire. They think that he put the gun in an outhouse or something like that. We then see more of Sherlock and Michael. Michael talks about a potentially missing woman. Is this the same woman that he was burying earlier?

On the next Elementary, a therapist’s death brings secrets to life, Sherlock was in a tank of some sort that was not made in this century, it seems, and more things happen. I still don’t know who this new cast member is just yet. If it is Michael, why does he seem so mysterious? I guess that we will find out what happens later. For now, this is Adam Decker, signing off.

May 6th 2018’s Episode

Since this show is on Mondays, I might as well say what all I watch on Mondays at the moment. Since this will be airing throughout the summer, things might change with what all is on. I watch Kevin Can Wait, Supergirl, The Resident, iZombie, The Crossing, and this show, of course. I don’t know what all I will watch as the schedule changes. I also know that I should get back to the movie updates at some point, but I think that I’ll wait until one of two potential changes have happened before I do that. I hope that I can keep up with this blog well with potential summer vacations and a job with later hours.

Something that will be different for this post (potentially) is that I have a dentist appointment in the morning after this episode airs and will have to work early the day this does air. Hopefully I won’t miss anything and hopefully if I do, I can watch this later online. I guess that we will see what happens for sure later. I could have recording issues that would make me have to watch this online later. At least I have a lot of turnaround for this blog and don’t have to publish it the same day that it airs. I just hope that people aren’t annoyed by things like this.

This show spread a common misconception in the last episode that is very dangerous. You do NOT have to wait 24 hours to report a disappearance on someone and law enforcement will not tell you that they will have to wait that long before doing something. Here’s a link from a UK website that says more about the information. It also applies to the US as well.

I really need to work on doing more time on reading the books that I’m reading. I try to read them on certain days of the week. But I can read it any time and not just those days. Still, I need to get more of this done but between church, work, sleep, writing (this blog and others), TV watching, and various other things, reading doesn’t get that much a priority over other things.

The first act has Watson at the funeral of her father that she didn’t know as well. Now I don’t remember much about the whole thing as I’m pretty sure it was the season before the last one that we were told of Watson’s half sister. I wonder what other long ago things will be suddenly brought up again. A man is walking on the street, talking on a cell phone, when he states that he wasn’t having an affair. Instantly, he is struck by lightning. Sherlock sees the body and thinks that it was man-made lightning. How is the possible? I guess that we’ll see soon.

The second act has more of the investigation. There is some sort of special device that was made that can shoot lightning of sorts at people. There is also missing plutonium. Watson’s father left a message of sorts for her, but not her sister. After learning that the logs for the crawler boss that the Al Bhed had made were erased, Sherlock suspects someone within a certain height range.

A man is brought in for questioning. While you’d think that this is too soon in the episode to be the right person, the man in question confesses to the murder that he did not intent to commit, wanting instead to only knock him out or hospitalize him for a few days. If the murder is solved, what will happen with the rest of the episode? Well, the plutonium is missing and terrorists might have it.

The third act doesn’t have as much in it. Sherlock develops more brain problems and winds up blind for a moment. Watson looks up various traffic footage and notices a delivery truck making a left hand turn, which she finds unusual. I did know that they try to avoid them, but I don’t think that they are always possible to avoid making. They find a dead person who is part of a white supremacist gang. They believe that the dirty bomb they are looking for is in their possession.

The fourth act has more of the letter talks about that Watson threw away. Sherlock found it and thinks that she should read it and that it isn’t him being affected by his schizophrenia. A white supremacist is brought in for questioning and could be lying about what he wanted or didn’t want or use. While at first it seems like a bombing is going to happen, Sherlock thinks that a heist is happening instead.

The fifth act has the gang of people caught. There was a bomb too, but it wasn’t as bad as it otherwise could have been under different circumstances. A guy asks how Sherlock was able to figure out all that he did. This guy gets arrested for having leaked the information about a bomb. Sherlock does a puzzle to try to figure out various brain problems of his. Watson talks to her sister about the letter.

On the next Elementary, there is a case that seems like it will involve old sorts of items. But how will Sherlock solve it when he’s having these brain problems still? I wonder if part of the reason that they did this was to make him even more eccentric. I guess that we’ll find out what happens on Monday and you will see the post about it on Thursday. For now, this is Adam Decker, signing off.

April 30th 2018’s Episode

If I ever get this show on DVD, I’d be sure to post a look back at Shinwell’s character at some point. I had actually missed when he first appeared on the show. But I have done something like that for my TV blog where I wrote about a dead actor’s affect on a show. I’ve done that with my Survivor blog as well. I just hope that I can do it with this blog at some point.

I had told you about my rotation of books that I was reading. I told you that Lights, Camera, Fiction was taken out of the rotation for a bit. Well, it is back in the rotation. There was some of a problem when a different book in it had to be removed for a while. Hopefully I can get it back or I’ll have to stop reading those books for a while or put something else in as a placeholder.

If you paid attention to the movie watching lists that I had, then you’d know that there were four lists for four different days with which I could watch movies. But I stopped telling you the updates. Only now, the lists have changed a lot. I went from four lists to three then to two then just one. I even then took the one list down from six choices to three then just two. It then went back to three and then expanded to six. Should I tell you what the six are? I might. I was going to wait until I had two movie choices again. But I think that I will tell you about the movies that I watch on both days of the weekend (typically) in the next post. And I’ll tell you when it will go back to more choices.

The shows on CBS have shifted. This show was replaced by Wisdom of the Crowd, only that show has since ended and been replaced by Instinct. Scorpion has finished with its season and this will be airing in its place. Also, there is no reason to believe that this will be delayed since there won’t be sports airing before it. Hopefully there won’t be any breaking news that cuts into this show. At least I know that Saturday rebroadcasts could happen of preempted shows like it did when the death of bin Laden cut off the rest of a CSI: Miami episode that was on. It should be noted that starting out, I’ll be watching The Crossing live and putting this show on my laptop for later. I should explain more in my next post.

The first act has various recaps going on including mentioning Shinwell. I do hope that they pay tribute to that character since Nelsan Ellis is dead. Sherlock says that his dead mother’s ghost set a room on fire and that is why he’s been avoiding his house. A man is upset over a sex tape on the internet and winds up murdered. Also, a new person has been added to the cast. It is another man. Why is Watson the only woman in the cast? They could have put in more women than just her.

The second act has Grant Ward and Sophia Bush talking about what happened with the sex tape and the person who was probably murdered, but hasn’t been confirmed dead just yet. Sherlock seems to have post concussive syndrome, which he tells Watson about. Shinwell hitting him in the head with a bottle was the last straw in this mental problem of his. A random person calls Sherlock and wants to give him money to drop the case. Sherlock gets the money at quadruple the price the person wanted originally. Watson thinks that there might be a problem with his brain that caused this to happen.

The third act has more of the issues being revealed. Sophia might have been cut out of a will because of the sex tape, but it seems that something wasn’t done in time. Sherlock attends a meeting about his addiction and talks to a man afterwards about it. Sherlock reveals to Tommy that the main reason he accepted the bribe was to track the suspect. Sophia winds up murdered.

The fourth act is when we get to Tommy and Sherlock interviewing Grant Ward, thinking that he is the person behind everything. (Ryan might actually be this character’s name.) Grant reveals that he was responsible for the burglary, but not that he did anything else. Sherlock worries more about his mental problems and declining health. A woman shares a sex tape that she did with the same person that Sophia did as well. This might somehow prove everything.

The fifth act has them proving that Grant is nothing more than a Hydra traitor, secretly embedded in the S.H.I.E.L.D. organization. I mean, Ryan was the person who did the murder and they proved this because there was a camera installed to start when the front door locked. Michael, the guy that Sherlock had met in the meeting, is seen burying a body in the woods. I guess that we’ll see more of this guy in the future, although I don’t know who the new main character is.

There was a tribute to Nelsan Ellis at the end of this episode. I’m okay with it, but I don’t quite get the whole idea of just making it a tribute after the next episode to air after the death happens instead of making an episode specifically about that character or more linked up to that person. This episode had little to nothing to do with Shinwell with him only mentioned briefly at one point. I would hope that they could do more with a tribute episode, but there are at least twenty more episodes this season.

On the next Elementary, there is a person who might have died because of manmade lightning. Now are you sure that he is dead and not just having a heart that is beating faster than is thought to be humanly possible? He could show up six months later as a speedster known as the flash. Anyways, that is all that I could gather from the promo. I’ll be updating this blog on Thursdays as usual and if anything changes, I’ll let you know. For now, this is Adam Decker, signing off.
