Nelsan Ellis Tribute

I learned on July 8, 2017 that Nelsan Ellis, who played Shinwell, has died. I didn’t think that I’d do any posts of this blog until it returned, but I should do a tribute to the actor who passed away of heart disease since he did have a main role on the show for this most recent season.

This man died so quickly, he still has a new film coming out. It is called True to the Game and is set to be released on September 8th, 2017. If I can see it easily, I’ll be sure to review it as it is his final role that we’ll ever see. The plot relates to a criminal trying to get out of his crime business in order to settle down with a young woman. Here’s the trailer followed by my thoughts on it.

Thoughts on trailer: This is a film that is black-centric by the looks of it. I hope that it is different than how the others look, but I haven’t seen enough of this genre to know what the difference might be between them. It could be interesting, but it also seems like it could lead to stereotypes. I guess that I’ll have to see if it is good or not. Expect a review when it comes out provided it is in most theaters and not some other format. I hope that Nelsan has a major role in it, although I’ll watch it regardless.

Now that I’ve gotten that out of the way, it’s time to mention more of Nelsan’s film and TV career. He has played some real life characters in the movies Secretariat, The Butler, and Get on up. He also appeared in a movie based on the controversial Stanford Prison Experiment. Another film he did was The Soloist which has a story based off of an actual person. The other, notable film that he did was The Help which I should watch sometime. The only shows he had a major role on besides Elementary were True Blood and The Inside, the second of which didn’t last a whole season before it was pulled from the schedule, although all of it aired outside of the US.

I do have to wonder if Elementary will pay tribute to his character or not. He was killed off already, but they could and probably should now do a better send-off than what his character got. I don’t know what we will see in the upcoming season or when it will start. Hopefully it will be sooner rather than later. But that’s not the point of this blog post. Below are two tribute videos to him.

Well, I might as well wrap up this post as I can’t really make a quick video for him without a youtube account and I don’t have much need for one of those right now. I should review the film he is in next in this blog provided that it is a major enough film for me to see in a local theater. I will miss the actor even if I didn’t really like his character. Keep an eye out in the future for a review of that in this blog. I’ll keep the actual updates for that movie in my CSI: Cyber blog so be sure to check that. For now, this is Adam Decker, signing off.

May 21st 2017’s Episode

Despite all of the odds against this show, it will be returning sometime next season. What do you know about that? Pretty cool, right? Guess that I won’t have to do any major changes to how this blog is updated. We’ll see if the show lasts beyond next season or not. I’m surprised it even lasted past this season. We’ll see what ends up happening. Guess there will be a long gap in posting between this post and the premiere of next season, especially since it is going to be on the midseason schedule and could be getting a long delayed, shafted, final season treatment like Person of Interest did. Networks are no longer so kind to shows that they don’t actually own.

Now for the next movie update which will go through everything I see before this blog gets posted. On Monday, I watched The Matrix. I replaced that with The Matrix: Reloaded. On Tuesday, I watched A Wrinkle in Time and replaced that with Thomas and the Magic Railroad.

Now during the summer, I have special ways of watching things that I do when I have enough extra time to watch movies. It isn’t exactly the summer yet, but I still had time for that. I’m just going to mention what is watched and what replaces it.

I watched Baby Boom and replaced that with the Aristocats. I watched Celtic Woman: A New Journey and replaced that with Celtic Woman: Song from the Heart. I watched Bend it Like Beckham and replaced it with Bambi.

Today’s episode is brought to you by ~3 minute delay. We begin with Sherlock writing some sort of note. He then meets up with Watson. Sherlock appears to be suffering from burnout, although Watson thinks that he might be using again. That’s why I could never risk becoming a druggie. You never know when they might relapse. There is more gang talk about Thin Boy. Can they throw in a white person into the gang to be less of a stereotype? Anyways, people, possibly police, but hopefully not, shoot some gang members dead.

The second act has the team investigating what looks like another gang shooting that killed all the people of SBK. Sherlock wants to be away for a while. He interrogates a priest who might be corrupt. What an original idea! He then gives a message to this priest who is working with SBK. Another person is talked to about the ongoing case. Sherlock talks more to this mystery woman who I’m really confused by. Who is she? Is she related like a person thought she might be? Sherlock then talks to a person from a rival gang who insists that the other side started everything. How convenient.

The third act has a terrified, kidnapped woman who delivers a message to a person. It seems that she is dead now. Sherlock offers more theories into what is going on. They interrogate a suspect and he finally reveals information. Sherlock wants to do anything to stop the fighting. Carmon’s roommate reveals more information about the case. She was a witness to the initial kidnapping and was too scared to help. They are looking for a person with possible tattoos. Sherlock and Watson learn more information about the case in question. Watson then has a major revelation with the case.

The fourth act has someone skeptical of the possible fact that Mr. Wilcox, the main SBK member, is the killer of Carmon (probable misspelling) and doesn’t want to trade immunity for the fact that he might have killed someone. It doesn’t seem that people are showing up for Shinwell’s memorial service. I hope that my funeral stuff is taken care of for when I pass. I don’t know if I should assume that it is taken care of or will be. I despise people who assume (or, at least when they say they do).

Sherlock seems to have a breakthrough with the case. Watson is upset that Sherlock wasn’t there for the service. They have it out with each other. Watson makes a possible deal with someone related to Mr. Wilcox, it seems. This is a long act. Sherlock talks more with the mystery woman who I’m still confused by. Is this a lover of some sort? Things are coming. She’s in a place that she set on fire that’s nearby to where he is. What is going on? Why is this show so weird?

The fifth act seems to have more evidence brought into the murder of Carmon. She fought back against her captor. Watson and Tommy bring in all the evidence they have against Mr. Wilcox and it appears that he is sent to jail. We then go back to Sherlock and the mystery woman. What happened with the fire? They kind of glossed over that, didn’t they? Once again I’m confused by this and the discussion that they are having. Wait, is this person real or did he somehow imagine her? They seem to imply that it is possible brain problems of his. The episode ends, making me glad that this show is renewed or we wouldn’t have any more information going for the episode.

I’m going to have one last, important paragraph in this post. Everything afterwards you can ignore. I have no idea yet when I’ll be back with more episodes. That’s because I have no idea when the next, new season will be. Hopefully, it doesn’t get the Person of Interest treatment, although I’d be surprised if the next season didn’t wind up being its last. This will be the last post for a while. I’ll either be back sometime after the season premiere or have a random post or two (or even more) between that time and now. I’m not yet sure if regular updates will be on Thursdays as they have before or not. Just wait until after the show returns and then you’ll know. Now, on to random crap!

Let’s finish the movie updates until this post is published. The next thing that I watched was Bean: the Movie. I replaced that with The Devil Wears Prada. I then watched Back to the Future and replaced that with Back to the Future Part 2. Next, I watched my grade school graduation DVD (which actually doesn’t have any of the graduation on it) and replaced it with my high school graduation DVD. After that, I watched Finding Dory with commentary and replaced that with The Emperor’s New Groove.

What I watched next was Titanic. I replaced that with National Treasure. I then watched Rush Hour. I replaced that with Rush Hour 2. Next I watched My Best Friend’s Wedding and replaced it with Jason Bourne. After that, I watched The Emperor’s New Groove and replaced it with Finding Nemo.

What I watched next was Power Rangers: The Ultimate Rangers. I replaced that with Pocahontas. I then watched Thomas and the Magic Railroad. I replaced that with Shrek. Next I watched Celtic Woman: Songs from the Heart and replaced that with Celtic Woman: Believe. After that, I watched The Aristocats and replaced that The Best Years of Our Lives.

Shows disappearing until midseason are a recurring problem that we see on CBS from time to time. It might not appear again until a drama is cancelled like Doubt was. It might finish airing in the winter, partly during the empty Survivor timeslot. It might not return until May when it could burn off. Those are some ideas or something else different could happen. Since we won’t know when Elementary is returning, enjoy the following video in the meantime.

Back to the movie updates: I watched American Dreamz and replaced that with Avatar. I then watched Rush Hour 2 and replaced that with a tape of a play recording I was in of The Wizard of Oz. That might be all the movie updates that I can fit in for this blog post. I wondered what to do with movie updates from this point forward. I thought of moving different updates to different blogs (as there are different movie lists) or telling you a huge, long update of movies for when the eventual return of the show is. I decided that I will actually tell you no more about these movie updates.

The above link is a blog that I still update every month with updates as to what the cast of the show is doing now. I also sometimes talk in the introduction of the blog about updates to the CBS schedule. That will be where you should check to see when this show is returning. This show is technically being replaced by Ten Days in the Valley although Madam Secretary is taking over its old timeslot. I have no idea when this show will be back and thus have no idea when this blog will be updated again. Sometime next season it will air its season premiere. Hopefully it won’t be as late as the summer, but it might be as long running dramas becoming midseason replacements on CBS typically get their swan song in the end. I don’t even know if I will be back here on Thursdays or not. But when the next new episode of this show airs, I’ll be back with it at some point. For now, this is Adam Decker, signing off.

March 26th 2017’s Episode

Hopefully this blog will be normal after Lent is over. Speaking of Lent, you might be wondering what I might have given up for Lent. Well, I started with three things at first: CinemaSins, all Wikia sites, and CinemaWins. At the suggestion of others, I added discussing politics, procrastination, and making excuses. We’ll see if I’m successful at all of them. I tried giving up procrastination for Lent before, but it didn’t work out. The next year, I thought that I would give up three things so I could fail at two of them and still be okay. I ended up being successful at all three so that became the norm. I wanted to give up three things again, but that ended up changing with what others wanted to add. I could wind up making it more than three in future years, depending on what I’m successful with.

Now for the movie update. I finally rolled what I wanted most to roll so I can finally transfer the last of the dissolved list from Sunday. By watching Hancock, I can replace it with The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy from Sunday’s second dissolved list. Now I can create new lists, which you will see in future posts, some of which you have seen already. On Sunday, I watched Catch Me if you Can. I replaced it with Enchanted. Starting next week, you’ll see a new movie list added followed by more in the future. I guess that we’ll see how many we add in the future.

Today’s episode is brought to you by 34 minute delay. We begin with Sherlock talking Watson that Shinwell killed a person. We then go to some sort of auction going on. The storage locker or whatever they just bought has a dead person in it.

The second act has the team learning of the death of John Doe. This person has a note on various dead people who died without heirs or wills. I need to work on my next will. People find suspect #1 and this might be one of the people who bought the storage locker. This is a friend of the victim who might be identified. Travis is the name of the victim. Sherlock and Marcus find a treasure chest. There is another person that Watson talks to. This is the person who believes that Shinwell killed his brother. Sherlock talks about the ongoing case and mentions that a captain made up data.

The third act has people learning about the pirate treasure and stuff like that. Sherlock questions the motives of a person and he says that he found the location of this treasure. Only someone was there before he was and took the treasure then. Sherlock then confronts Shinwell about the person that Shinwell murdered. Watson and Tommy talk to a person who seems to have the treasure from the ship that they were looking for. He is rich and didn’t need to steal anything. The police think that they have a suspect, but it turns out that his daughter was the person who might have hacked something.

The fourth act has the person known as cashgar or however you spell it talking to everyone about the case in question. She insists that she was just the middle man in the case. There is yet another suspect that they talk to. This person mentions pirates that they might need to look for. Sherlock and Watson talk more about Shinwell and Sherlock’s distrust of him.

It is at this point around the 10:20 mark that I start watching. Some ships were sabotaged in order to slow a person down. They talk about the ongoing treasure hunt. I don’t know who this suspect is just yet. I’m going to guess that this is the last, false suspect that they are interviewing, although it could be the guilty party depending on how else they finish this show. Sherlock thinks that she’s telling the truth about being innocent. Sherlock comes up with another one of his famous theories regarding how nothing might be what a person was looking for.

The next act has Sherlock showing a clip from a movie of some sort. Could you really make more money with a flop than with a hit? What flops are financially successful? They learn that this person wanted someone else to find a treasure so that he wouldn’t have to pay out on a price that he promised over a quest he was certain would yield nothing. So this person, whoever he is, was the person responsible for the crime.

Shinwell shows up and beats up Sherlock for some reason I don’t yet know having not seen the earlier part of the episode just yet. Shinwell also thinks that an organization that Sherlock might be working with is evil and he seeks to take these people down. There are no scenes from next time so I’ll be back whenever with the next new episode. For now, this is Adam Decker, signing off.

March 19th 2017’s Episode

My sister had her baby so this blog shouldn’t have any major problems with updating. She doesn’t live too far away, but I have no idea when I might go to visit her and see the baby. Hopefully, this won’t be affected in any way. If it is, that’s okay since I made it strange by finally posting about old episodes at the expense of posting about more recent ones.

I was busy this weekend, so I didn’t know if I’d be getting any movie watching done. As soon as I’m able to move one choice to this list, I’d be able to add new lists. I can’t decide if I want that to happen or not since watching movies means having less time to do other things. Hopefully I’ll be able to add new lists by the summer (Mayish) at the absolute latest.

Well, family visits prevented me from watching a movie on Saturday, but I was able to see something on Sunday. I watched the movie Back to the Secret Garden which I’m not entirely sure if I’ve seen before. Not sure if I’ll watch it again, but I wouldn’t mind doing that. It was from Friday’s old list. Its replacement is Catch Me if You Can.

Today’s episode is brought to you by 35 minute delay. We begin with a person torturing another person for some odd reason. Someone is listening to what’s happening, so I hope that they report it. Sherlock and Shinwell were boxing for some reason. Sherlock and the team find the crime scene, only it has disappeared in a car.

The second act has more investigation into the crime. They still don’t exactly know what is going on. Shinwell was shot at, which he doesn’t think is a big idea. There is a mayor election going on, which could be important for the future. They play the recording for a person that they believe is the wife of the possibly murdered person. They find more evidence with the case,

The third act reveals that the murder was over a guitar. The mayor seems to be hard on cops as part of his campaign. The creepy guy who wanted to kill people on The Last Man on Earth shows up and mentions more about the case where he seems to jam over the ongoing case. There is a person at a college campus that investigates the case. Someone then finds this guy who has a guitar and gets murdered with it.

The fourth act has people learning that people think that the recording helped solve the case. It then has a suspect being investigated. It appears that they have everything they need to regarding the case and all they need is a confession. Here my past self takes over.

It is at this point around the 10:16 mark that I start watching. Watson is talking to a suspect with Tommy and Sherlock with her. They get a suspect to confess to a murder before they learn of second murder that happened. Who had an important guitar? Sherlock talks to Shinwell about the case. Marcus and Watson talk to a woman presumably from earlier about the case. Is that the woman from Braindead? I don’t think so, but she looks like it. She says that there was fraud over a recent software hack or breach. A person made it seem like shots were being fired when they weren’t.

The next act has Sherlock waking Watson with the recording of a gunshot. Sherlock reveals more of how a suspect was killed. They learn of an elected official who committed fraud. He is confronted by the whole team. They reveal the information about all of the crimes that went on and how this guy was responsible for the other murder. Sherlock then talks to a victim of a robbery gone wrong that may have been a victim of Shinwell’s. Thus the episode ends.

On the next Elementary, there are secrets of a pirate treasure that are revealed. Of course, it relates murder of some sort or some other crime that is being investigated. I guess that we will find out more for sure about what happens when it happens. For now, this is Adam Decker, signing off.

March 12th 2017’s Episode

Let’s just skip to the movie watching that I did. Hopefully, I roll the right choice to create new lists for the future. But, my history with these lists proves one thing for certain: if you want something to happen, it probably won’t until you don’t want it. I still don’t know if I want it for sure or not. As for Saturday, I watched the first Celtic Woman concert. That option remains on my list for now so I can watch the other concerts. While there might be a time it ever gets removed from my movie watching lists, it hasn’t happened yet. On Sunday, I watched The Two Towers extended edition. This means that Lord of the Rings remains on the list for now. Apparently, John Nobel, who plays Sherlock’s father, was in that movie.

Today’s episode is brought to you by no delay. We begin with a recap of Eli, the wheelchair person, and the suspicious deaths that have resulted in relationship to it. We get to Sherlock being interrogated after being arrested for murder. Only this isn’t a real law enforcement person since he doesn’t seem to be on the up and up. Whether he is or isn’t doesn’t seem clear. Sherlock is dropped off and reunited with Watson and reveals more information about the case.

The second act has Kitty coming to the house with annoying music being played as Sherlock thinks that he is under surveillance. They learn that Eli (I think) had paranoid schizophrenia. Watson believes that one of his rants was actually based on a true thing that people were trying to cover up by killing.

The third act has more of the claims that something happened in Venezuela that got various people murdered. There is more investigation into the case. Watson and Kitty are with a person when a guy in a motorcycle tries to kill him.

The fourth act reveals more of why Sherlock has seemed a bit cold towards Kitty. He thought that she shouldn’t have just left without informing him that she was okay. We also get to the explanation behind what has been happening. There was an added news story on one of the files that someone wanted to start a war with Iran.

The fifth act has Sherlock wanting to prove the Iran story as #fakenews. There is a stand-off between police and the person who wants the story to spread. Sherlock is able to find out information and defuse the situation. Kitty decides to baptism Archie (baptize and christen are the same thing, right?) and she wants Sherlock and Watson to be godparents. I guess that Sherlock make her an offer she couldn’t refuse. They will be staying in touch.

On the next Elementary, a guitar is central to the plot. Why is rock and roll considered the devil’s music? You’d think that rap would be a much better example of that. Also, where would Christian rock fit in all of this? Sorry, I went off of a strange tangent there after the first sentence of this paragraph. Anyways, for now, this is Adam Decker, signing off.

May 14th 2017’s Episode

There’s not much else to tell you about right now other than what movies I am watching. On Monday, I watched the post gathering DVD of the 2007 LCMS National Youth Gathering from Orlando. I replaced that with Power Rangers: The Ultimate Rangers DVD that I’m calling a movie length thing even though I could watch the episodes on it individually. On Tuesday, I watched Adventures in Babysitting. I replaced that with Absolute Power.

You may wonder how I feel about Shinwell being killed off. Honestly, I’m not sure that I care that much. The only way it really bothers me is that they never gave him that much of a story in the first place. He was an underdeveloped character that wasn’t even in the whole season that he could have been. Maybe other people felt there was more to him than I did, but I didn’t really think too much of him other than him being a screw up that kept making more mistakes.

I didn’t have time for a movie on Saturday due to attending my cousin’s wedding instead. On Sunday, I did have time for a movie. I watched Front of the Class and replaced it with Bend it like Beckham. That’s all for this movie update.

Today’s episode is brought to you by no delay. We begin with a recap of Shinwell’s story arc this season. Now there might be a potential SPOILER involving a family member of Sherlock coming up in this or a future episode so I guess we’ll have to look out for that. END SPOILER. Sherlock thinks that Watson missed the killer by minutes, but it might as well have been years. Sherlock wants to make sure that Watson doesn’t blame herself for what happens. She doesn’t feel responsible. They will then have to go with war with the gang. Is it SPK or something else? Is it SBK? If I knew what it stood for, I might know for sure. Things can get confusing quite easily in today's TV world.

The second act has people continuing to investigate Shinwell’s death. They try to hunt down the gang leader. Sherlock thinks that a tax problem relates to what they are investigating. That’s not too far off from reality considering how tax evasion is what got Al Capone arrested. Sherlock goes to one of his meetings about his former drug addiction. He then talks to a person about the case at hand, I think. I don’t fully understand who this woman he is talking to is.

Marcus and Watson talk more about the case to another person. Some picture is used to protest the current president. Maybe I should add that to my page. Marcus, Sherlock, and Watson go to a place to investigate the case. The Folsom person that they believe to be the leader of the gang and main suspect is there and they talk to him. Things get tense for a moment.

The third act has Watson talking to the person that I think was called Thin Guy. He thinks that SBK (if that is the name) is the only person who took care of him. Sherlock brings out an enigma machine that he thinks that Folsom uses. He talks to the woman from earlier and he has some sort of issue with her that I don’t understand. I haven’t seen two recent episodes yet. Watson works on interrupting the lingo of the gang that they are investigating. The gang might have looked like something didn’t really happen that did. I didn’t understand that.

The fourth act has people talking about the case more. Sherlock finds a new way of going after the gang members. It seems that they bring in Folsom’s brother for questioning. The suspicion goes to this brother as the real mastermind behind this whole case. I know this is a fight I can lose but the accused is an innocent man. Wait, that’s something else. Sherlock investigates more and has yet another theory into what is going on. Watson and Marcus appear to have a good idea as to how to solve their case. Sherlock then talks to another person. That person reveals that he thought Sherlock sent a message that he actually didn’t. Marcus finds some crime going on that I don’t understand.

The fifth act has Folsom at the hospital and they think that he won’t make it. Watson thinks that his brother might have done this to him. I don’t know if they can finish this episode in time. Watson and Marcus talk to Folsom’s brother and he thinks that bad things could happen. Sherlock then talks to that woman from earlier that I don’t understand. Did they ever explain who she is? There is more mystery to her as the episode suddenly ends.

On the next Elementary, the season finale airs. They have many different details that are hard to catch. I couldn’t watch Shades of Blue tonight so I saw this episode live and might have missed things as a result. I should be able to watch the episode at some point. But I have three other episodes to post about before I tell you about the last one. I just hope that I have time to watch them. There will be at least four new posts as a result as I post the March episodes you haven’t seen yet then the season finale episode that will air on Sunday. I will see you then. For now, this is Adam Decker, signing off.

May 7th 2017’s Episode

I don’t think that this show will be around next season. If it is, it won’t be on CBS, but probably some cable network or something like that instead. Remember that I will blog about the final episode of this season last, making sure that any other episode from March that hasn’t been blogged about yet will be posted then. I wish that I had these written already, but I don’t at the moment. If this show does end, then I will continue this blog in a way I’ll mention later.

Now for the movie update. On Monday, I watched Our Lips are Sealed. I replaced that with Rush Hour. On Tuesday, I watched North by Northwest. I replaced that with A Wrinkle in Time. On Saturday, I watched The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy. I replaced that with Graduation DVDs that I have. The first one that I’ll watch (relating to grade school) is a bit of a misnomer in terms of graduation. Then, I’ll get to the actual post graduation DVD from high school. On Sunday, I watched Pleasantville and replaced that with Titanic. I had waited until Sunday was open before I put Titanic on the list.

Today’s episode is brought to you by no delay. We begin with the end of a completely irrelevant case, it would seem. Watson gets a text from Shinwell. She lies about it to Sherlock, but he’ll find out. A woman goes into what she thinks is probably a paintball game only to wind up murdered.

The second act has more of the murder being investigated. Watson does meet with Shinwell. It turns out that the victim was part of a reality show that involved hunting people with paintball guns where the last person standing wins a million dollars. They think that the death was to cover up an elimination that we otherwise wouldn’t know about. Sherlock does deduce quite easily that Watson met with Shinwell. He then shows this one person who has a lot of scars.

The third act has the main suspect revealed. He had killed some people back in his home country and was granted amnesty. Sherlock finds a costumed person which seems to be the stereotypical millennial type. Sherlock thinks that she would be a potential victim. They are able to find the guy who then reveals more information about a person that seems suspicious. You know, this game could actually work as a real reality show. It is kind of like Hunted, only Hunted was the players versus the game. This show would be every player versus all the other players.

The fourth act has some more confusing aspects being brought up. Maybe it is just confusing to me. They go to a strip club to do some more research into what is going on. Watson talks more to Shinwell and he has information that would ultimately put himself away. Sherlock and Marcus talk to another suspect named Washburn and he reveals a deal that gets him out of trouble. But Sherlock is certain that he can find whoever the real killer is.

The fifth act has the team revealing to the producers their plan for trying to catch the killer. It turns out that one of the producers is the killer. I don’t fully understand why that is. Watson goes to Shinwell’s home and finds his bloody body, probably murdered.

On the next Elementary, it is revealed for sure that Shinwell is, in fact, dead. They look like they might be in a gang war with SPG over this. This season is winding down to the end and it looks like it will all be over soon. Given this show’s tendency to do more self-contained storylines, one can hope that’s what happens at the end of this season. If it does end this year, one would want it to end well. For now, this is Adam Decker, signing off.

April 30th 2017’s Episode

Things were a bit strange in the last blog post so I’m going to have to offer an explanation in this, the next blog post. I will do an extra part that will be included in other blogs as well that also suffered from this problem. I am now able to use my own laptop again.

Here’s a paragraph that I’m putting in multiple blogs. I had problems with my laptop’s power cord and had to get a new one to use it again long term. In the event that there are problems with my laptop, this would be one of the blogs that I would try to keep updating blogs of shows that are still on, like this one. If not, then I would stop updating the blog until I have a new computer to do so with. For now, the issue is resolved and hopefully there won’t be any other problems with this for a while.

I might have thought at one point that I had messed up when I created this blog. Originally, I was only going to do this when it was delayed so long that it wasn’t airing, it was airing at two different delays, or it was on delay with one of my two CBS affiliates, but not the other one. I thought that it was a two separate delays, but that was more of the natural difference of when stuff was airing on the two different channels. This means that I shouldn’t have created the blog as early as I did. But things are now normal now. The show was preempted and this will be something that I can rest easy and blog about despite originally not doing it right. Man I hope this makes sense to someone.

Now for the movie update. On Monday, I watched The Little Mermaid. I replaced it with Liar Liar. On Tuesday, I watched Ice Age: The Meltdown. That remains on the list for the moment as I am going to watch it again with commentary. What other movies did I watch? Those were Finding Dory that remains on the list so I can watch it again with commentary and Vantage Point which also comes with a commentary to watch as well. It’s a good thing that I have these updates on this blog or I might not have been able to remember easily what the movies I watch each week when I had the computer problems that I did have.

Next week, I watched Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian. I don’t yet have the next movie in the series so I replaced it with a post gathering DVD of the 2007 LCMS National Youth Gathering. I was there in Orlando that year at the gathering. SHOUT OUT! The next movie that I watched was Miss Pettigrew Lives for a Day. I replaced that with My Best Friend’s Wedding. On Saturday, I watched nothing as family was over for just that one day. On Sunday, I watched Enchanted and replaced it with American Dreamz.

Today’s episode is brought to you by no delay. We begin with Marcus, Tommy, and Sherlock all at the hospital. His girlfriend isn’t dead, but does appear to be in a coma at the moment. Marcus is certain that only one person could have done this and Sherlock seeks to find whoever is responsible.

The second act has the team interviewing the suspect, Roy, who is the ex-husband of the assault victim. Roy’s lawyer thinks that the precinct is on a witch hunt against him. There is DNA evidence of Roy at the crime scene. Marcus reveals why he doesn’t like hospitals. He gets into a bit of an altercation with Roy who shows up. Sherlock finds evidence that proves that Roy isn’t the assailant. Only Roy winds up dead himself, a supposed suicide.

The third act is really confusing to me. Let’s see if I can make sense of it all. The death of Roy is ruled out as being a suicide while people continue to look for whatever suspect or suspects may still be at large. Sherlock wants to take Marcus out to help with the case even though he’s on leave from duty right now. Sherlock and Marcus research more of what’s happening and find a person who might have done it or something. Marcus seems ready to do something bad when he notices a person comes out and beats the suspect before stealing a car. Sherlock then calls, revealing himself to be that person. What is going on here?

The fourth act explains more of what just happened and things make more sense now. Sherlock wanted to prevent the suspect from travelling on airplane. He also might tie up any ways of this coming back to him. Marcus admits that if Sherlock hadn’t intervened, he didn’t know how far he would have gone beating the suspect on his own. Sherlock also reveals that his original hospital story was a lie and that Marcus’s father was abusive and beat his mother when he was a child. There is more discussion on how to catch the suspect at hand.

The fifth act has the last of the evidence against the suspect brought up which is enough to put him away for all the crimes. It can be a bit hard to make sense of the rest of all of what happens except that it seems that things are resolved. I don’t think it was revealed if this girlfriend would end up being okay or not. I guess we’ll see that in future episodes.

On the next Elementary, Sherlock thinks that they have never seen a more accomplished killer before. It appears to be a sore loser from a game show that gets investigated. We’ll have to see what happens when it happens. For now, this is Adam Decker, signing off.

April 23rd 2017’s Episode

I’m borrowing someone else’s laptop to bring you this post. It would seem that my laptop should be available for use as normal starting from the next episode onward as planned. I don’t know why this wouldn’t be the case. I’ll tell you more of what’s happening in the next post. Let’s get to the episode at hand, shall we?

Today’s episode is brought to you by no delay. We begin with a recap of Marcus’s ongoing storyline regarding that one woman he is into. He thinks that he might be charged with things related to that. Watson wants to help with his problems. Sherlock is sort of shot by a person doing a magic trick. I love weird people (mostly because I’m one). Sherlock shows how the trick works. It relates to a case of some sort that’s going on. Was a bullet inhaled?

The second act has more investigation into the case at hand. It’s weird that we didn’t even see the murder. I don’t understand. We get to suspect number one and she gives information about how the victim used to work with her and he started using her tricks. She talked to a detective about this, which she tells Sherlock and Marcus about. Sherlock finds a person running an illegal card place. The dead magician was ripping off a single person in these games. Marcus and Watson talk to suspect number two. Sherlock is there too. The suspect says more about what happened and Sherlock thinks that the person who killed the magician also stole boxes.

The third act has Watson looking at what is considered to be the magician’s bible. I wonder if the atheists Penn and Teller would use one, if it exists in reality, that is. They text an eccentric person about what is going on and they find a flash drive in a fruit there. It reminds me of the ring in the nut in the egg in the lemon trick that I’ve seen. Maybe I’ll post of video of that in the next blog post.

Sherlock talks to suspect number three about the murder. Tommy is there with him. She (the suspect) talks about some of what is going on. She reveals that the book writer was an anagram for a still anonymous person. Sherlock uses playing cards to try to work further on the case. He finds some sort of information that I find very confusing. More of the book is discussed and it seems that the killer/arsonist wants to keep the writer of the book a secret.

The fourth act has even more of the case investigated as they go to the publisher of the book and he is suspect number four. It turns out that he is the grandson of the author of the book and he says what is going on with it. The team reveals their information relating to the case at hand, but he feels that the sales of the book would have spiked if the true author’s identity was revealed. Quickly, we get to suspect number five and they talk about an auction that the murder victim won. Marcus talks more to the person that I think he is trying to date who still has ongoing problems with an abusive person. She reveals what is going on and Marcus learns what he can in order to help with it. Sherlock reveals that he knows who killed the victim. Of course, this leads to the next commercial break.

The fifth act goes back to suspect four and reveals some information that shows that a Nazi was the person who wrote the book. They believe that suspect four is the actual killer and present their theory as to why that would be. Watson and Tommy talk to someone relating to the ongoing subplot regarding Marcus and his girlfriend? They offer him a way out of the deal and Marcus learns that the thing is possibly over depending on how this episode ends. He goes into her apartment with music playing. Of course, that means that she’s murdered.

On the next Elementary, Sherlock thinks that Marcus wants to avenge her death. I can’t make out many more details regarding what else is going on so I’ll just have to wait until I see the next episode to find out what happens. It was a good setup for the next episode, I’ll admit. I should be back with the next update from my own laptop as planned next week. If not, then they’ll be a reckoning with the ongoing issue with my laptop. I should explain more in the next post. Nothing too bad is going on, but I do feel that someone could be blamed if I’m not able to use it sometime later this week. For now, this is Adam Decker, signing off.

April 16th 2017’s Episode

Okay, let’s start with the movie update. First, I added a new list for Monday. That list is the movies The Matrix, The Land before Time, Night at the Museum, The Fugitive, Rain Man, and Bean: the Movie. For OCD reasons, I’ll be watching what I have of Night at the Museum in Spanish. The Matrix trilogy is borrowed from my brother. What did I end up watching first? That was The Land before Time. I replaced it with The Little Mermaid.

I realize that this will probably be posted later than Maundy Thursday. This is supposed to be the post that is the grand return of this blog to Thursdays, but I don’t think that it will be since the Masters are on before this. I know this only affects one Sunday a year, but I’d more than love to just nix this over any and all other things I could nix in terms of sports on Sunday on CBS. I’ll never get over how stupid it was two year ago when they had a winner before 6, but primetime was still delayed because that winner had to walk through a crowd of people and get a coat before the obligatory four minutes of commercials. Then and only then did they start the shows.

Something that might be good with my OCD habits was that this was alternating at a certain time on Sundays instead of the other time it could have been. I picked this to start at one time since there is this cheat I have for updating on specific days for the other blog this was alternating with. There has been a new episode of each show each Sunday starting in March. The day I posted last on Sunday, they were airing the CMAs instead of anything worth watching. Thus, the other blog can continue on every Sunday as if it were one with this blog until it could finally break off. I’m not sure if that makes sense to anyone else besides me, but I’m very happy with how things turned out.

I had planned on watching movies on the weekend, but then a family visit prevented me from watching something on my list on the next Saturday and Sunday. I was wanting to start a new list, but I think that I will postpone that for a bit. On Monday, I was able to watch Rain Man. I replaced it with Our Lips are Sealed. I’ll continue the update in a bit.

Every time it is Maundy Thursday, there are new shows on TV. That’s not always the most annoying thing about it as a lot of series finales have aired then. You might be wondering what shows I watch on Thursdays. Well, remember that I typically watch different shows by recording what I can’t watch live. Thus, there are all different shows that I watch on Thursdays. They are The Big Bang Theory, Grey’s Anatomy, The Catch, Powerless, Riverdale, Chicago Med, and The Blacklist: Redemption. I can’t believe that they are airing the potential last episode of the last show I mentioned tonight. But, I should be done with church by then anyways. I will be watching The Blacklist when it returns. I don’t think that I watch anything else on Thursdays at the moment.

It turns out that due to the incredibly late airing Masters golf crap, the episode that was planned to be aired on April 9, 2017 won’t be airing then after all. Now this means that the episodes planned will be a week late. I don’t know how or when they will catch up. They will at some point. Maybe this will mess up with the season finale will be.

Let’s go back to the movie updates. I was not able to watch a movie on the Saturday before Palm Sunday as I went to church then instead. I then watched The Return of the King on Sunday. This means that I could replace Lord of the Rings with Muppet from Space. On Monday, I watched the first of the two Night at the Museum movies that I have. On Tuesday, I added a new list of choices consisting of Miss Pettigrew Lives for a Day, North by Northwest, Adventures in Babysitting, Back to the Future, Dumbo, and The Little Rascals. The first of them that I ended up rolling is The Little Rascals. I am replacing that with Ice Age: The Meltdown.

I wasn’t sure when the next episode would air. I knew that there would be a special on Easter. It only lasted two hours. They had originally planned on airing a drama repeat at this time. Well, they decided to air the new episode of Elementary then instead. I guess this won’t mess up when their planned season finales are after all. At least I can go back to posting about the actual recent episodes. I have not seen most of the previous two episodes just yet. I should hopefully be able to catch up with that at some point in the near future.

Today’s episode is brought to you by should have aired last week and no delay. We begin with a recap of previous events. I haven’t seen most of the previous two episodes just yet so I’m going to be confused about some of the things that are happening. I also have three older episodes to post sometime, so I’m glad that I have the first one of those ready to be published.

Anyways, Sherlock thinks that he has given Shinwell too much leverage and that he can’t be trusted. Is Shinwell a killer or does he just want to hunt an evil organization? There is a woman/lover/hook up at Sherlock’s house. I don’t think that it’s the autistic woman that he was with. I hope that he broke up with that previous person or he’s just a terrible person. We see at a crematorium that a person was burned alive in there.

The second act reveals that not one, but two people were burned alive at the crematorium or whatever it is called. Sherlock thinks that he knows who one of the victims is. Sherlock learns that Watson had signed them up to be in a detective agency of some sort. Sherlock doesn’t like it as he feels that it gives anyone the power to become a detective even if they don’t really have the credentials. It’s kind of like how the Universal Life “Church” will let anyone become a minister.

The third act has more of the case. They try to identify the victim(s), but don’t really know where to look for leads. They learn of someone who was looking for a paternity test, but the test was inconclusive as it didn’t really have any information. The person that they think is the suspect is, in fact, the probable victim of the crematorium.

The fourth act is when we learn even more information about the case at hand. There was a shooting at a meeting where people became US citizens. Sherlock investigates the crime scene in order to figure out what might have happened. He feels that only someone with the ability to throw a fast ball would be able to cause a certain blood stain to appear. They have a suspect who is the half brother of someone who they think killed the victim. Only a coach confesses instead.

The fifth act has the team thinking that the coach is trying to take the blame for the player’s crime as what he’s saying doesn’t add up. While cleaning up his fake crime scene, Sherlock does something that results in the eventual arrest of the player at hand. He also creates a new agency that can train actual detectives instead of the previous one.

On the next Elementary, there appears to be a magician related case of some sort. That’s all that the promo would reveal of that. I should be back next week with that episode. If I’m not blogging about the most recent episode on a Thursday, then I should be posting one of the three older ones. If you read my Madam Secretary blog, you should know when these older episodes might wind up getting posted as I want to keep these blogs linked up if possible. For now, this is Adam Decker, signing off.

March 5th 2017’s Episode

Sorry for forgetting to add on an introduction to the last blog post. It would have explained how the Sunday updates are over and I'm going back to the Thursday updates for the foreseeable future. Typically, I would want it to be an update on the episode that had aired the previous Sunday. If you didn't know by now, the episode that they planned to air last Sunday didn't end up airing at the Masters ran an hour late which delayed all the other programming and preempted this show. In the event that I'm not able to blog about the most recent episode, then I would have to go back and add on from the episodes that aired during Lent that you have not yet seen. I will go with the oldest one that isn't yet posted. Keep in mind, I will not post my thoughts on the season finale until the other episodes from this season have aired. So, let's get started with the actual blog post.

My movie updates are going to be confusing if they are out of order in the future. This should be the post that solves any confusion potentially starting here in case you were wondering how different movies wound up on the list or if more choices were added entirely. I don’t know what will be happening regarding March Madness, but that could put more of these episodes on tape. I just know that we’ll see what happens each year as it happens. There was at least one movie I was wanting to rent, provided that I can find it and have time to watch it. That, and I’ll be wanting to add new movie lists for more than just Saturdays and Sundays. What are these updates? Well, let’s see.

The first weekend, I’m able to watch Star Wars: The Force Awakens. Now, while I normally don’t like seeing the same movie twice in a year, I am planning on watching all seven main Star Wars movies again this year. I just have to borrow them from my brother first. Speaking of borrowing movies, a friend lent me Prometheus to watch sometime, so that will replace Star Wars on the list. Meanwhile, I’m borrowing another movie series from my brother to rewatch that isn’t on my list just yet. As for Sunday, I watch The Treasure of the Sierra Madre with commentary, having previously watched it normally. Now, let’s go into a history of my movie watching lists before I mention its replacement.

I’m not going to start at the very beginning as that would take too long. It was two years ago that I received from my aunt and uncle a box of various movies on DVD as a birthday gift during the summer. This affected all of my movie watching lists. At the time, I had two lists: one on Saturday and one on Sunday. I didn’t know how all of these movies would affect the next lists considering how I already had a bunch of movies that I could watch. There was also the complication of underlined choices which are choices that, for one reason or another, I want to watch again. Also, since I normally don’t want to watch the same movie twice in one year, this created a whole potential of underlined choices for the beginning of 2016. Ultimately, I had finished watching all of my Christmas movies on time in December, so I was unsure of how to move forward at the beginning of the year.

I ultimately decided that I would add a new list for Friday at the beginning of the year that mostly contained underlined choices I had been unable to add the previous year. I also made it so that only five underlined choices would appear on the list of replacement choices. I had also crossed out, for the moment, any choices that weren’t their old movies unless they were unlined or there were no replacements under the rules that I used. During this time, I moved Friday’s list to first Thursday then Wednesday so that it would be at the same time as updates to my Survivor blog. Thus, I was able to juggle these three lists between the other choices without much confusion. By the time summer shows started, I had time on a Friday to watch movies due to the lack of shows on that particular Friday night. So I used the declining list of underlined choices to add on Friday. The lists continued to be done and I finally had it so that only one of their movies wasn’t watched yet so I underlined it and finally added any and all choices that I couldn’t have added before to the options. This was a lot of movies to watch again.

Regardless of their being a bunch of new options available, I wound up having to get rid of old lists as I wasn’t able to replace them using the rules that I use. Getting rid of a list isn’t as easy as adding one and it involves moving the old choices to other lists. I got rid of Sunday’s list and dissolved it while moving Wednesday’s old list to Sunday in its place, no longer needing a movie option when I planned on doing Survivor blog updates. It wasn’t long after Sunday’s first dissolved list was fully moved to the other days when the current Sunday list also got dissolved. I moved Friday’s old list to Sunday in its stead and worked on dissolving Sunday’s second list. There is still one movie left to transfer that I’m currently unable to move just yet. Once it is moved, I have a lot of movies to add and plan on creating new lists for them all.

Stuff that was on the second dissolved Sunday list were Indiana Jones, that wound up on Saturday’s list, and The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy, which can only be moved once either Hancock is removed from Saturday’s list or The Hobbit series is removed from Sunday’s list. With Sunday’s list, it has the original Friday choices of The Hobbit and Back to the Secret Garden on it. It also has the options from Sunday’s first dissolved list of Front of the Class and, now formerly, The Treasure of the Sierra Madre. Only the Treasure of the Sierra Madre is now replaced by Vantage Point, the only choice of my aunt and uncle’s old movies that hasn’t been added to a list yet. The other choices on Sunday’s current list are movies that have replaced old choices.

A show called Training Day is airing in this show’s old timeslot. I saw the first episode, but won’t be watching it again. Now an interesting thing happened with it. The lead of the show died. He filmed all of his appearances in it for all of this season before his death. The show is lowly rated and was leaning towards cancellation before his death. Now, while they might be more likely to air all of these episodes, I don’t see them renewing the series without him.

There might not be many or any updates regarding the five books in the rotation that I’m reading. (There are two others, outside of the rotation, that I’m also reading. But I won’t tell you much, if any, about them.) There is a change to the reading rotation. A book in it, Lights, Camera, Fiction, is being taken out of the rotation for now. I have to see a movie before starting a new chapter so I am setting it aside for that reason until I can watch a certain movie.

Now, as for the next weekend, I watched Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. I originally had the first three movies on VHS tape and the last on DVD. One of the movies I got from my aunt and uncle was Raiders of the Lost Ark. I decided to get the other two Indiana Jones movies on DVD and I have gone a long time between rolling the choices. Indeed, Indiana Jones was the choice that was the longest on what was once Wednesday’s list as it was one of the items originally on it when it was first added. This is over a year later and I just now am watching this DVD for the first time having finally taken it out from its packaging.

The next day might be crazy and I have family planning to visit soon. And I roll one of the Lord of the Rings movies: The Fellowship of the Ring. I guess that if I don’t finish it before they come, then I’ll hopefully get it done once they leave. I also hope that I’m able to watch or record this at a good time, but I might have to watch it later online.

It turns out that my family didn’t arrive until Monday and they stayed until Friday. This made me glad that I had already decided to delay this episode being posted in the blog. I just hope that you are glad that older episodes are finally posted before I get back to this one. I would not have been able to post this on the Thursday in question because I hadn’t been able to see it that quickly. I also might not have posted another blog that day after all and, indeed, had scheduled preplanned posts for other blogs ahead of time so I wouldn’t have to worry about them. Hopefully things are back on track in the future as I don’t even know when you will be seeing this post yet.

Today’s episode is brought to you by no delay. We begin with a recap of Kitty who was on this show back in the third? season. She returns at the burial of a person whom she believes was murdered. Sherlock wants Marcus to get some sort of evidence or confession from a suspect regarding what seems to be an unrelated murder.

The second act has some of what Kitty has been doing the past two years revealed: she was helping victims of human trafficking. What we don’t know is if she will be charged with the assault or whatever thing she did to that one victim from earlier. She talks to Tommy who is glad to see her. Only she is mostly antisocial this time around. She gives theories as to why she thought that three deaths were actually murders. Sherlock talks to a sociopath in a wheelchair. One of the potential victims had two shoes that were tied differently when he was found dead. The newest dead person was found to have his grave plot dug out and then burnt relentlessly, thus making it difficult to prove that the cause of death could be changed if wrong.

The third act has more of the burnt corpse. Watson and Kitty feel that the ME did a bad job while the ME appears to have thought that she didn’t need to do that good a job when the victim had all the heart problems that he did. Watson follows Kitty to her apartment or wherever she is staying and gets attacked by someone who turns out to be the nanny of a baby.

The fourth act continues this mostly confusing episode. Kitty explains to Watson the story of her son. She wants to tell Sherlock about it, but he gets called away to a meeting. The ME from earlier is brought into the police headquarters and questioned. It also appears as if the wheelchair guy whose name I can’t remember has killed someone for sure.

The fifth act clarifies things for me. The wheelchair guy was the victim who fell onto a car, not the person who might have been doing the killing. Sherlock and his team wonder how they are so wrong about things. The team does learn based on evidence that it’s unlikely that this guy killed himself. There are now four victims of strange crimes. When Sherlock gets back to where he lives, he is arrested.

On the next Elementary, a rogue killer is after Sherlock. It looks like a lot of interesting things are happening. What could wind up happening next? I guess that I will have to wait until next time to find out for sure. For now, this is Adam Decker, signing off.

November 27th 2016’s Episode

Why is a new episode right after Thanksgiving? Remember last year when a new episode of this show was aired on Thanksgiving itself? When will TV know that there are just certain times that you shouldn’t air new shows? Well, I was able to make it home in time for some of the episode, but not all of it, due to my unusual thing I do happening once again. I’m hoping that I am able to watch other episodes and I probably will be since Quantico is going on hiatus soon. ABC may be strange by putting its good dramas on winter hiatuses season after season, but it gives us a break from some shows and the ability to watch other things that they air instead.

There are actually multiple books that I’m reading right now. The main group of them that I’m trying to read right now consists of five books. Deadly Heat by Richard Castle (ghostwritten) is one of the books. Since Castle ended, I’m trying to rotate through all these books by reading one of them on Monday. This book started the read on Mondays rule. I rotate through the books in a certain order where whatever is on top is then read and moved to the bottom in favor of the next book. Anyways, Deadly Heat isn’t as good or interesting as I would want it to be. I’ve been reading that since 2014 after my sister lent me her copy of that. She had lent me the eighth Harry Potter book too at one point, but that wasn't in this rotation.

The next book in line is the second book of the Sentinels series. This may be the first time that I actually got a book because I knew the author of it first. This book is the most recent addition to the rotation of mine, added in 2016. The next book in line is Lights! Camera! Fiction! This book is to help the aspiring script writer, namely me. It is the only book that has been taken away from the rotation for extend periods of time as I have to watch a certain movie before I can finish watching it. This is the oldest of the five books in the rotation in terms of how long I’ve been reading it compared to the others.

The next book is line is Amazonia by James Rollins. I love James Rollins and this is probably my favorite of the five in the rotation as it is the easiest to read due to the action and suspense. I also think that this is the one that I’m the farthest in at the moment. I’ve been reading this since around when I got it as a birthday present back in 2012. The last book in the rotation is the Silmarilon by J. R. R. Tolkien. Some people want this as a movie. I do not like the book that much. This is probably the slowest read of all of the books in my rotation. This is not the same great Tolkien that we are used to.

Today’s episode is brought to you by 49 minute delay. We begin with Watson getting a note from Sherlock. Someone shows up at their apartment looking for Sherlock. Why do Watson and Sherlock live together? I’ve always found that to be strange. It appears that Sherlock is skipping out on meetings he’s supposed to attend. There is a strange murder that has happened regarding someone who was eaten or something strange like that.

The second act has Sherlock, Watson, and Marcus at the autopsy place. A poisoned sausage is the cause of death and a person was what the sausage was made out of. Watson notices that Sherlock is with a bunch of musicians at a park. Watson and Marcus talk to a person about the case as they try to figure out who one of the victims is.

The third act has Sherlock and Marcus investigating the meat industry. We get to people in a lab and people talk about the case. Joaquin is identified as the victim. Brendan, who I will refer to as the Dollhouse guy at times, is a person at the lab who they talk to briefly. Watson reveals that she knows that Sherlock hasn’t been going to his meetings. He knows that she followed him to the park. Sherlock thinks that he’s smarter than everyone else. He then makes different meat. There is more information revealed about the case as Sherlock learns more about it. The suspect reveals information about the case that she didn’t do, even though she did other, unrelated murders.

It was around the 10:30 mark when I start watching. There are commercials still so I basically start watching from the next point forward. Marcus talks about the case at hand and believes that some work may have been doctored. Who is Marcus talking to? Is it Tommy that he’s talking to? Anyways, Sherlock talks to the person who fudged the data. Wasn’t he Topher on Dollhouse? I love Dollhouse! I recommend that people watch that show. They talk more about the meat that was poisoned.

Once again, Sherlock frightens Watson with something unusual when she wakes up. Apparently there are three types of meat in a way. There is some sort of relation to Kosher. My aunt married a Jewish person so maybe I should ask her more about Kosher. I don’t fully understand it or why the non orthodox Jews would be bound by that. The character that the Dollhouse alumni plays says that he didn’t kill Joaquin, the victim. But Sherlock and company think otherwise.

The next act has more of the case as they look for who pushed someone down the stairs. Watson is frustrated that they haven’t been able to solve this case with stupid people as the criminals as they have solved other cases with smarter criminals. Although, lawyers tell me that all criminals are stupid. The two main suspects are confronted by Sherlock and Watson. Brendan (the Dollhouse guy) may get the harder punishment even if he was the lesser of the two conspirators. But, it appears that the CEO gets charged with the biggest crime after all.

Sherlock then goes to his recovery meeting. Have other versions of Sherlock Holmes had drug problems? There are no scenes from next time as they air a promo for Survivor instead and, in recent memory, this is the longest that I have gone without seeing the most recent Survivor episode. There were tons of problems that prevented me from seeing it live and I still haven’t seen it yet. Hopefully I’ll have time to watch that pretty soon. As for this show, I’ll be back whenever with the next episode. For now, this is Adam Decker, signing off.

November 6th 2016’s Episode

Before I had any other blog, I had a blog about just TV in general. That’s basically because I wanted to write reviews about shows, but had no reason to do this without a blog that would include it. For the moment, updates of this blog are locked in on Saturdays, although this could and probably will change in the future. I make a promise to my blog readers to update every blog of mine at a bare minimum of once a month. Of course, you’ll see more of that when I mention other blogs in the future.

I will tell you more about what blogs I have in future posts. I tend to have some sort of introduction to my blog posts whenever there is a new episode of a show for me to write about. I don’t really know why I do this, but I feel that there is always something interesting to talk about besides the actual show. I mean, there’s always something interesting in the world, right?

In case you were wondering what happened with this episode, there was a delay of when it would air because of a sports game earlier. There were also complications that got me separated from TV, in a way, some of that Sunday. But this is later than it should be since I put it on tape and watched some of it later. I couldn’t even get into it immediately after Quantico ended.

Today’s episode brought to you by 50 minute delay. We begin with Shinwell and Watson talking about stuff. We then switch to a creepy guy by the looks of it. After hearing gun shots, a body comes slamming into his house. Talk about an intro.

The second act has Marcus, Sherlock, and Watson looking at the dead body at a morgue. Sherlock thinks that the victim is a sexual predator. This means that the killer could be a vigilante. They talk to the victim’s wife and brother-in-law about the case. Sherlock stops by the place where the site was set up at, but I’m not sure if he makes any headway there. There are continued issues with Shinwell that Watson and Sherlock try to help with. They think that they found the catfish.

The third act is when it is suspected that Novack, the victim, might have been going after some women online. They interview someone who they suspect is innocent, but they have to prove it. I think that this was the guy that we saw on the phone at the beginning of the episode. He had set up recordings of what he was planning on doing with a minor and that’s how he has footage of the murder. Sherlock goes through different suspects that were shamed and goes into the only one that is still around in the country. They talk to the suspect in question. He gives information as to why he isn’t the killer. Sherlock and Watson then get a call from Marcus who gives them more information about the case.

The fourth act has Marcus and Sherlock talking to a woman who they think might be responsible for some sort of part of the case. I wonder how many innocent suspects they talk to on this show. I know that all mystery shows do that, but they seem to have an excessive amount of that. Watson wants Shinwell to be a private detective.

It is at this point around the 10:30 mark that I start watching. Sherlock is on his computer looking for information relating to the case. They go after a suspected person who might have committed the crime. He gives an explanation relating to his part in some illegal activity that he didn’t actually do this particular crime of murder.

The next act has Watson and Sherlock doing more of the case. Watson was tearing up in a way. I didn’t exactly understand why. This discussion leads to one of the many aha! moments that leads Sherlock to the perpetrator of the case. They have the evidence against a woman from earlier. She then confesses to the crime. Sherlock then goes after an old friend, I’m guessing. He wants to frame this person for a crime. I don’t fully understand what that’s about. There are then two random black guys that I’m guessing are important to future episodes I’ve probably already seen by now.

On the next Elementary, there is a cook related to a murder or something or other. It can typically always be hard to tell for sure what’s happening with a certain upcoming episode. This is probably by design. For now, this is Adam Decker, signing off.

October 23rd 2016’s Episode

Before the first official episode would be blogged about, I decided that I could blog about an episode from before it that I had recorded on tape. Yes, I’m a weirdo who still uses VHS tapes on a regular basis. I hope that nothing bad ever happens to the VCRs that I have. Anyways, let get to the beginning of the episode that I haven’t seen yet, then the rest of the episode which I watched when it first aired and wrote about in a different font.

Today’s episode is brought to you by 35 minute delay. We begin with a brief recap of things that I don’t fully understand or remember. A person who I believe is Tommy is talking to Paige, his girlfriend. She ends up talking to Sherlock some. She wants to hire Sherlock for a private case of some sort. (Did you know that the pirate with an eye patch was a private eye? That’s what happened to it.) We then get to a guy who is killed while listening to what I believe to be the original version of Higher Love and not the version that the strange Hershey’s commercials has done.

The second act has Sherlock coming back and Watson is hoping that there aren’t bodies in the bag that he has brought. They then learn about a case that must have been at a nudist retreat. It then goes to Beth who was kidnapped a week ago. They go to her husband who talks more about the case. They are shown more video of the case. Sherlock does more of Paige’s case and learns that her insurance lapsed. The team finds a van that was used in the kidnapping. They talk more to Beth’s husband.

The third act is when Sherlock goes visit tech guys and learns more about the case. Beth’s husband wanted a divorce by the looks of it. Aaron is the name of Beth’s husband. There are planned anniversary cards that she was planning on sending out. But it seems to be mostly her doing that and not him. Sherlock and Watson talk to a radio show person about the case. They then get computer files about an abduction near a basketball game. It is around this point where my past self will take over. This may seem a bit confusing as I will not know all that I was talking about just now.

It is at this point around the 10:00 mark that I start watching the episode. Sherlock is talking to a person relating to the case. In his classic Sherlock ways, he asks whether she is going broke or not. A person is arrested relating to the case. He says that he is not the person on camera that they think did the crime. He gives information about the case that leads them after many mobsters.

The next act has Sherlock playing Get Me Some Loving (or is it Lovin’?) on his violin. I’ll have to read Hound of the Baskervilles sometime since I have not actually read a Sherlock Holmes book just yet. But I might have to just to see if it mentions him playing a violin. I remember a violin in the Robert Downey Jr. movie labeled Sherlock Holmes.

Anyways, Sherlock talks about Paige from earlier. Sherlock wants a random(?) person to marry Paige. This is despite the fact that Sherlock was glad that this person got out of his first marriage. A person who was held hostage talks about how she was able to escape from people who held her hostage. Maybe I’ll understand more of this later, although you won’t see it mentioned well in this blog post. Sherlock doesn’t believe her story and thinks that she kidnapped herself. Tommy is the person that I thought was random, but wasn’t.

The next act has Sherlock wondering more about the case. It’s kind of hard to summarize this part. Apparently Beth, the person who was supposedly kidnapped, has breasts that reveal her lies somehow. It makes sense watching it in a way. I wish that I could phrase what was said in a good way, but I’m not that good at summarizing things which is sad since I want to be a professional writer in the future.

On the next Elementary, there’s an “out of this world motive” for a new case. Boy, I’m glad that this whole election has been put behind us. Sorry, but an election ad aired after the promo and before the late news. But I should have enough of that by now. I just wonder if anyone I wanted to win whatever election actually won. I’ll be back sometime with some other episode. For now, this is Adam Decker, signing off.

February 19th 2017’s Episode

Why does it seem like every week, there’s another notable death in the world? What’s up with that? I just don’t understand why this keeps happening. Sure, people die, but some notable person every week? And I thought that last year was bad. Why must famous people keep dying?

The first weekend between the last movie watching that I did was spent by me being on vacation to the baptism of my cousin once removed. It was nice seeing him for the first time. I didn’t have free time that first weekend, so let’s get to the next one. On Saturday, I watched Free Willy. I replaced it with Finding Dory. On Sunday, I watched the last of the Nature Documentaries. I replaced that with The Lord of the Rings trilogy. Thus, the items from the second dissolved Sunday list that wound up in the new Sunday list are all replaced, should the last item to be moved not wind up on this list (if that makes sense). Now the only choices on the list are stuff from when it was Friday’s list, from Sunday’s first dissolved list, and the replacement choices. (Had I told you about that?) There was no movie watching the next weekend as I was busy with my sister’s baby shower.

I have no idea at the moment when the next new episode will air. It might not be until March or it could be sooner. All of the special events that seem to be happening in February seems to preempt the usual programming. I remember in 2015 when most of the Sunday shows on CBS were on hiatus the whole month of February, which is odd since February is a sweeps month. I’m sure that there was a reason, however strange it might have been. What’s more telling is that they aired the rest of CSI early into that time of year instead of waiting for a better time and putting it with actual lead-ins.

Well, it actually a confusing night for both me and CBS. If this blog were linked up with my Madam Secretary blog, it would be messed up now as this show was new tonight at it wasn’t on. They aired The Good Fight for the only time on TV at seven while NCIS: Los Angeles had a weird airtime at 8 before they aired this show. FOX shows were normal.

They were airing a golf tournament that cut into what should have been the local news before primetime on CBS. They cut out the eastern time zone feed to start primetime on time on this coast. Only they weren’t finished with it so they moved the coverage to the golf channel. This is only the second time that I’ve seen them move the coverage of a sport event to a cable channel to do primetime. This is the first time that there wasn’t a delay of any kind. Now was that channel not airing anything at this time? It seems weird that they switched whatever they were airing to that event. Of course, it was weirder the last time that they switched that it took them 16 minutes before the switch to actually do it. I bet people without the cable channel or internet (where it was also airing live) were screaming curses at their TV for this Heidi moment.

Today’s episode is brought to you by no delay. We begin with a recap of what is happening with Shinwell and his daughter. I didn’t remember that he had one. Watson talks to him some. She wants to see him finally. We then get to a podcaster. He is playing a video game. But people who watch this notice a criminal coming after him. They don’t know where he is in New York or if he is dead.

The second act has the team looking at the potential case. I love how this is getting into the world of gaming that happens online. I wonder if they are talking about speedrunning or other types of playing. Watson talks about it and hears from Sherlock about the case. He was able to find the body due to the nearby billboard. He has what appears to be a buzz cut. When did that happen and why? I have no idea, from what I can remember. Shinwell talks to his daughter after her school gets out. She says that she’s in trouble, but we don’t find out how just yet. Sherlock talks to people relating to the murder. A person gives good information and tells them the real name of the victim. The team finds a weapon that possibly relates to the case.

The third act has Sherlock thinking that a person who was suspected of the crime was actually framed for it. Sherlock offers yet another one of his famous theories during this time, but I find it hard to understand right now. Why am I so easily confused? A woman comes in and she relates to animal rights people. Why are they always portrayed as weirdos? I’m not sure what seal hunting has to do with the case. They find out that the gamer supported seal hunting and that related to his murder. If that’s what an animal rights person would do, then they are more than just weird.

Shinwell talks to Watson about his daughter and the possible problem she’s in. It turns out that this person who wants her romantically, but she’s not interested. They do more with the case and the Asian guy from earlier is investigated as a possible suspect. Apparently he thinks that the escort people he works with aren’t good people. Are any of the good people? This is an actual link to human trafficking being investigated.

The fourth act has more information about the human trafficking crime. Shinwell then talks to this person that’s bugging his daughter and makes him an offer to leave her alone. Carla, whoever she is, is interrogated by Marcus and Tommy. She gives them information about what is going on. I’m losing track of a lot of what is going on this act. I just know that Sherlock thinks that global warming is responsible for the murder. Also, how can some thick headed people still not get it through their head that global warming is real? 97% of scientists say that it is? Is there not enough evidence? I should not ever have the windows in my car down in February, but I did on just Friday.

The fifth act takes us to a random traffic jam. Sherlock and Marcus go after the person who might end up being the final suspect of the night. Once again, I don’t fully understand what is going on. They find out that a firm hired the hit. They investigate Raina and learn from her that she is the person who was largely responsible for most of the mess regarding the main murder. Shinwell then talks to his daughter again and they part ways for now.

There are no scenes from next time, which is to be expected since they are airing The Oscars next week. There is an upcoming change in this blog. During Advent, you saw this posted on Sundays. That was because my Survivor blog was moved on Thursdays and this blog was moved there instead. Now it will be moving to Sundays again during Lent. I will alternate Sundays when I post this blog, meaning that it won’t be every Sunday that you see it updated here, but every other Sunday. This won’t last forever, though as I will be back on Thursdays.

On Maundy Thursday, which is on April 13th this year, you should start seeing these posts on Thursdays again. The main change that this will bring is the order of the episodes that I’m updating this in. I didn’t want to go out of order on any of my blogs again, but this might be the only way to keep up on this blog. First, you should see three older episodes from this season that I haven’t put on this blog yet. Then, I’ll go from the next episode that airs for as long as I’m posting on Sundays. I should be back to current episodes when I get back to Thursdays and should be posting the oldest unposted episode in the event that I’m not able to post the newest one.

When I get back to Thursday updates, this blog should be updated on every Thursday even if there wasn’t a new episode the previous Sunday. I do plan on posting the season finale last this season. I don’t know yet if this season will be the last one or if it will return for another one. Things are not looking good now for another season. But, it could come back with a surprise renewal ala The Mentalist. I don’t know what will happen with this show yet. We’ll see in the future. I’d like this show to continue, but it might not. Also, this blog is sort of linked up with my blog about Madam Secretary so when I post episodes about that, I’ll post episodes here that relate to that. I’m behind on updating that blog, which can be helpful for this blog and the at least three posts I’m behind on. I could get behind on more, although I hope that I don’t. For now, this is Adam Decker, signing off.
